Congrats!!!

They look great too with those "sun kissed" and fat fleshy leaves!

I like the surprise of finding spikes emerging between leaves.

Way to grow Ryan. I have been following this thread with bated breath. I just recently ventured into the world of Tolumnias...only have one but wondered if I should change to SH. mine is in a basket without media, blooming well since I got it in spike on March. I worry about the every day watering if I'm not around and when I saw you post thought that SH could be an option. I have several other 'chids in SH doing really well but was waiting for "brave" Ryan to deliver before I put mine in Thanks for trying

Thanks guys,

Sorry no pics but a verbal update.... Two spikes off this plant on two different fans. The spikes are already longer than six inches and growing fast. I need to lower the plant from its lights before the spikes hit the fixture above!

Here it is: Strawberry Sundae.

This is the first tol I've ever bloomed on my own--meaning I didn't receive it in spike and really had no idea what it looked like. Super proud of this plant. In terms of culture, health, appearance...this plant is fantastic. I don't mean to boast but it truly is a beautiful plant and puts my other plants to shame!

Ill get more pics tonight after work. Also the flower count is quite high. I counted 30 buds on two spikes. Not bad for a first showing.
