It just occurred to me that you could try something. Talk to a local orchid society where you are moving. You may get lucky to A: sell some, or B: get some space at a local nursery where you can house them. I dont know how many do this, but I've gotta imagine there are some places that might.

Jerry, I am so sorry. That is a HUGE loss. Would you be in any way intersted in shipping--bare root would be OK--that will make shipping less. FedEX can package for you. If the flowers/spikes break off that's OK--as long as the plant survives.

Think about it.

Is there a local botanical gardens in your area--you could "donate" your plants, be the orchid expert, & have greenhouse facilities, display your plants for the public. That is how our local Botanical Gardens has "acquired" it's orchids.
