S/H Pots
I've been using take out containers as s/h pots. How do you make the holes for drainage?

Ok One way of doing this is :
I have a piece of wire cut off a metal clothes hanger stuck into a wine bottle cork. I just stick the end into the flame on the cooker when it goes red I stick it into the pot. I'm always amazed at how efficient it is even with thick plastic!

If you have a drill use a larger drill bit and just drill the holes, although be careful you don't press too hard and crack the plastic. I am definitely going to try the other methods though using heat! Great ideas!

I hold a 3" screw at the end of a plier, heat the screw and then make the holes. works great.

Damn, you all are cheap so-and-so's.
If you buy them from me you are contributing to the well-being of the developmentally disabled at an organization known as BARC Services here in Bucks County PA, who produce them for me. (Before it was politically-incorrect, BARC stood for Bucks Association for Retarded Citizens).
However, if you insist...
- Please do not melt the holes in the containers. The decomposition fumes from the plastic are not nice to you or the environment, no matter how small the amount may be.
- Go buy a "Uni-Bit". They are stepped drill bits so you can drill different sized holes in thin stock, and the tip is about the best I've found for plastic.
