Reservoir drying too fast
My s/h reservoirs are drying so fast! It's not any slower than normal bark. I thought in s/h you aren't supposed to have water so much

How fast are they drying out? I usually water 2-3x a week in the summer when it's hot and 1-2x a week in the winter. If your pots are near a fan or the humidity is low, they will out dry quicker.

I water my small S/H ones twice a week as well. The larger ones can go longer altough I tend to do them all at the same time.
I think the only way to make them last longer is a bigger resevoir, or raise the humidity in your house. A bigger pot/resevoir is probably the easiest of those to achive.

What if you set your S/H pot in a shallow dish that will hold a little more water?

An actively-growing plant will take up water more quickly than will a dormant, or slow-growing one.
If your ambient conditions are favorable to evaporation - low humidity, high temperature, lots of air movement, lots of sunlight (any combination thereof) - of course it's going to dry out faster. Up here in PA, you'll see seasonal differences, too.

okay,if there any way to make my reservoir bigger? i have just burnt holes about 3/4 inches high in plastic cups. i definitely see differences between summer and winter, the only thing that scares me is that in winter its usually LESS water in the winter, and that scares me for summer

First, put the holes about a half inch higher.
Second, summer may not be the problem you assume, as the humidity will be naturally higher.

I haven't had s/h in the summertime yet. So I'm not positive. But my phals in bark definitely get more water in summer. But maybe it's because they are growing more in summer.
I cant make the holes higher, because then most of the roots will me in the reservoir. I already use a humidifier
