Phals in S/H-- Decorative pots?
Default Phals in S/H-- Decorative pots?

Would it be OK for me to put my S/H pots into bigger (and prettier) clay pots? I'm just wondering if this would affect the air flow around the roots or anything else. The plastic pots just aren't very aesthetically pleasing.

I have a couple of s/h pots in larger decorative pots and so far I've not noticed any problems. The outer pots are quite a bit bigger than the s/h pots so there is some air flow.

I do the same. I try to give a least an inch of gap all the way around.

Joann and Ted are right. Besides, al of the airflow is via the top - the holes contribute next to nothing.

An opaque outer pot offers the advantage of preventing algae buildup, too.
