I have an Onc. Twinkle that I have been thinking of converting to s/h. I was planning to wait until it completed its bloom cycle (which it has) and I noticed this weekend that it is putting out two new pbulbs. Is now the best time to convert it to s/h?

I love this little plant and am nervous about the conversion. Just want to make sure the timing is right.

Thanks!

It's almost time, wait until you have new root growth before converting. The old roots will die in s/h and the new ones will acclimate.

Is there a new root "count" to go by? 1 new root and convert? Or is it best to wait for a few new roots?

I've got limited experience with conversion to s/h...mostly phals that were potted in sphag moss, so conversion to s/h was a breeze. Some I waited for new roots, some I didn't and all have taken off. I know I can't use this philosophy with the Twinkle, which is why I'm seeking all the advice I can get.

When the new pseudobulb starts putting out its flush of roots that will be the best time to convert.
