Stephen,

Thank you so much. I will do exactly as you say and I will wait a little longer till the shorter root is about 1 1/2" long. They are from different nodes. Maybe by then there will be even another root growing.

Has anyone grown an angraecum sesquipedale in semi-hydro? Since mine bloomed this year, I'm nervous about making changes from bark, but I like the idea of not having to disturb the roots after switching it.

I grow my vandas in clear pots with bark and have left them unattended for a week in summer without any ill effects
