hello,
Does anyone know if Milt. Royal Robe 'Jerry's Pick' can be gown in water culture?

I would guess that it probably would grow in water. These plants can grow quite moist. Keep in mind that I have not put a Milt. into water before.

But why put it into water culture if it is doing well in bark or sphag. I have only put plants into water if their roots have rotted

I am having problems with it so I thought I will take it out of the pot look at the roots and thought I might have to do water culture. It looks dry all the time but have been watering every 5 days. It is in Lava Rock right now.

I think the lava rock might be your problem. It is notorious for collecting and holding fertilizer salts and mineral deposits that end up burning the roots.

Thanks for the info. I did not know that about Lava Rock. Been growing orchids for 7 years and still always finding out something new.
