Question Iwanagara Apple Blossom 'Fantastic' finally blooming

Hello everyone I have been waiting for this orchid to bloom for 2 years . Finally its showing progress last year two sheaths showed then turned brown and I thought nuts they died. Then 3 others started and they are growing and swelling BUT the two that died didn't die Yesterday I checked and I see buds showing . I don't know if these buds are what they are supposed to look like and I hope someone can tell me.

By the way its in a 5 inch plastic pot in s/h medium.

Sheridan

Thanks Carol and Betty .... I was so disappointed when the first two sheaths turned brown. I can't wait for them to bloom and I will post photos right here..

Oh boy, you've given me hope!

I've been waiting for mine for over 2 years. It's had sheaths for 6 months. In the last month they've been lengthening but I'm so frustrated with it.

Thanks for the encouraging post!

Maureen

Mine just kind of sat there until about a week ago when the temperatures in the greenhouse started going up in the daytime. Now it is really taking off. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to bloom now. Betty

Some of them really try one's patience alright. I have a Dick Clement phragmipedium that has been in spike forever. At least it isn't shriveled. It is taunting me, I swear it is. Carol
PS Sheridan at least it is getting ready to do something!
