Gareth,

My original post was regarding a burrageara and a cambria. I repotted both in LECA as a traditional medium as was suggested.
The burrageara soon started putting out new bulb growth and roots so 2 weeks ago I transferred it to a SH pot and it's going strong.
The cambria hasn't started active new growth but it is also very happy and I'll switch it to the SH pot when it's ready.
This technique really worked well for me. I usually end up with dead or struggling oncidium types if I leave them in their original pots or try to use a bark mix.
