Default Vanda Baskets liner ?

Does anybody now if there are liners for vanda baskets so you can use them with s/h? I was luck to have a square pot that was the right size to fit and now I want more.

I would not recommend s/h for any kind of vanda. Although vandae are big drinkers, especially on a hot and sunny day, they prefer to dry-off by night-fall. In nature, vandae grow (and thrive) with their roots exposed to the open air. A little lava rock or some other material to help anchor the vanda in its basket is okay, but take care that plants grown indoors have lots have lots of air movement around them.

I use a product called 'gutter guard' as liners or as baskets for several of my orchids. Gutter guard is a plastic mesh (comes in a roll) that can be cut and shaped to any size that you want. Allows for good air movement drainage.

How about using a food storage container? You can cut, or melt, holes around the bottom of it like an S/H pot, lined up with the lower gap between the slats on a basket

I'd love to see a pic of your Phal in a basket...sounds nice
