Hey all.. Just wanted to thank you so much for the chat...I stumbled on it by accident and I learned so much.

I put 2 in s/h today but i need more leca (hydroton) because I only had enough from a really small bag that someone gave me.

I put a Cattleytonia and a Dendrobium in s/h. They were in s/h before when I got them and I didn't realize what I had. So now they are back in it and I am crossing my fingers.

I'll take pictures later as soon as I get a little more leca. I think I should stuff just a bit more in the pots.

I did get the holes drilled in the correct spot. Thanks for explaining that. The lightbulb finally clicked on.

I did discover some really great pots...2 liter Coke bottles for the big ones and 32 oz Powerade bottles for medium sizes.

Anyway, thanks again...i'll be reporting my results soon.

Thanks Terri for warning me. I probably won't try that orchid then. About the pots. Didn't someone say it was very important to get the correct size? How do you know what the correct size is? Shouldn't it be at least 5" tall? Any imput on this part would be so helpful. Thanks.

Would anyone like to share pictures of their blooming plants in S/H for the web page?

Joann, I have a hybrid phal blooming in s/h if you need another picture. I snap a picture when I get home tonight if you still need it.
