Success and Failure
Two years ago I potted twelve Oncidium Intergeneric Hybrids in S/H. Four of them did quite well. Eight of them continued declining so badly that I transferred them back to regular culture. This is a picture of one of those that did well. It is Degamorara Winter Wonderland 'White Fairy'. It has one other branched spike in bud that is not in the picture. The flowers are a huge 4 1/2 to 5 inches.

Oh that is so pretty I love it. I have a few Onc. that don't have a clue they are supposed to flower.

Probably a case of timing and/or hardiness. The successes were probably sturdier to start with and/or were in a better position of new root growth.

Ray, I am inclined to believe that you are at least 99% right.

FWIW, I have followed the lead of a few folks here, and found that applying bottom heat (plant heat mats) for a few weeks (I've heard 2, but I go with 4) after repotting really helps getting plants established.
I liked it so much, I'll be adding small mats to my store later today!

Ray, does this apply for your plants in S/H or potted or both?
Thanks,
Al
