I believe "passive" hydro is intended to differentiate it from the active type, with pumps and other equipment, so in this context, it is essentially the same as semi-hydro.

There is no issue using the phrase "semi-hydroponics", or its shortened versions "semi-hydro" or "S/H", any more than you'd be afraid of calling the third consecutive championship a "threepeat". They may very well be copyrighted, but that is intended primarily to prevent the word or phase from being used commercially by someone else without permission.

"Orchdarium" is a trade name, as is "PrimeAgra", so the owners have a stake in keeping them protected so they do not become generic terms, sort-of like "Kleenex" or "Scotch Tape" have become. For me, when I want a cola, I ask for a Coke (which is my preference, next to Hops-i-cola), but in restaurants, you'll often hear "we serve Pepsi products. Is that OK?" as the Coca-Cola company is fighting the same battle. If I found somebody selling another brand of LECA as PrimeAgra, they'd be talking to a lawyer pretty quickly.

Al, I took pictures of my psychopsis in S/H but PhotoBucket is being difficult. It does that quite often so I may change to something else. Any suggestions?
