I have heard conflicting information on Paphs and water culture. I decided to go for it but i just wanna know if anyone has ever tried it with success. The roots looked fantastic when i took her out of the pot. I just want to know what to keep my eye on.

Not sure what your growing condition is like, but do watch for light and temperature. Esp temperature in winter, when the water can be too cold for the plant's liking.

OOOOhhh a BUT... Where can i get a plant with a BUT? lol. Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't go semi hydro cause I don't have the substrate and I'm a little confused on the set up. From what i understand you have a reservoir to put the pot in, the pot should have holes to let the water pass through, then you have a substrate that wicks water up to a medium like moss. Is that basically how it goes? How high up does the water go? Are the roots submerged? I have seen s/h systems that have pumps. Do you use a pump?

Let it Grow I hope I didn't misunderstand you.... about water culture that's what I thought you meant. I have mine in a semi hydroponic container. A clear container with 2 holes drilled apprx. 1 inch from the bottom then you fill the container and let the water drain only the water below the holes remains and the hydroton or primeagra wicks up the water. It seems to work well for me.

By water culture i mean i have the Paph in a glass vase. There is no substrate or potting medium. I fertilize it the way i normally would and change the water once every 5 days or so
