Thanks Ray. That explains why this new plant seems to be doing so well. I'll be looking for new roots.

Cool bag & spag update

Thanks for all the commentary ! My bag children have all "popped" root tips or "noids" where they wil==several have put out 2 root starts--- new ritual is to re-dip the "cuttings" in a food/hormone mix once a week === let them set in the mix for a few minutes.

Cool update on "bag & spag" hospital

Hello all! After almost 3 weeks I have roots! and some have 2 sprouted! Only one plant not doing anything--I was doing some inspection of the progress and came up with the idea to give them all a soak in a drop of rooting hormorne in a gallon of water-- all of the plants look really good as to leaf color and health ----so the hospital is rockin' for now. Cool

Update on my "bag & spag " hospital ---everyone of the 6 phals I bagged have now rooted and one so well that it went into a 2 and a half inch s/h pot today! I think the trick of taking them out once a week and soaking in a mild food & root hormone bath speeds up the rooting too---they bathe for 5-10 and then back in the bag -- a couple may have to move out soon as the foliage is pretty limp and we need to start getting some food into the plant --James

I am very happy to hear your phals have left the orchid ICU !!!! it will be great when they start blooming... although that might take a while jejeje

Congratualtions, is there any chance we could see before and after ???
