Default Flushing Pots Frequently

I just wanted to share a system that is working for me so I can easily flush my pots frequently without a lot of work. I am inherently lazy and this works.
I have my orchids on stones in (3 each) seedling trays for strength with no holes.
I have a jug with 1.5 gallons of water and I use it to flood each pot. This takes a few jugs which fills the trays with water.
Then I have a bucket and a very easy to use syphon. I syphon out enough water where it is back down to the rocks. If it is a little high it doesn't matter since all the holes are on the side. This also provides lots of humidity. I put the overflow water on outdoor plants.

Very clever. Think I will try it. I also have high wall trays - not as big as yours but about 3 1/2 inch high walls.

I've been transitioning to growing outdoors, but here's how I would do it if I had a lot of S/H plants indoors in a semi-permanent location.

First, I would attach these push-connect bulkhead fittings to each S/H pot along a bench (Bulkhead Union | Acetal Gray | OD Tube Fittings | John Guest). These connect to a 1/4" or 1/2" flexible PVC pipe, but the advantage is there's a locking mechanism that makes it very easy to remove, in case you want to move pots around.

So the PVC pipes would all go down to a larger drain pipe that runs horizontally, but slanted down a bit along the bench, one size larger than whatever the size of the feeder pipes are. So if you use 1/4" pipes from each pot, they all connect to a 1/2" pipe that runs down to a bucket or rubbermaid, which could be dumped as needed.
