Orchid culture is a fairly complex concept, as there are many parameters that we must provide - naturally or through manipulation - to meet that "sweet spot" for success.

• Light
• Temperature
• Humidity
• Water
• Air Movement
• Nutrition
• Substrate

Then add the "niche" nature of orchids, and each has its own set of requirements - an individual Venn diagram with its own sweet spot, if you will. It gets even more complex when you try to compare notes, as our individual growing conditions also play a role.

"Semi-Hydroponics" only addresses or affects a tiny fraction of those requirements, making generalization a waste of time.

Either you are too humble or I do not get it...

I think that S/H addresses at the "root" at least: water and air requirements and has also strong influence on fertilization and substrate...
