S/H and smaller pots

have a question regarding repotting mini catts in S/H. Most of my Phals have been repotted in 32oz clear plastic containers with the holes one inch from the bottom. When potting these mini catts in smaller containers are the holes placed in the same area one inch from the bottom? I have some smaller 4.5 and 5.5 inch pots coming from Ray's First Orchids for the mini catts.
