Quite a few years ago, when I was averaging 13 flights a week (did that for 3.5 years), I amassed a bundle of frequent flier miles, so I sent my wife, her two sisters and their mom back to England and Scotland (Motherwell was the ancestral home).

As a "thank you", they brought me back a 40-year old bottle if MacAllan. It became known as "communion whiskey".

Pretty sure we can blame on me or DC... because we’re both such good derailment folks.

I do agree that occasional dilution is okay with one big ice cube. But the best part is Ray... Only dilute should be fertilizer. I’m seriously LMAO.

I'm having problems repotting some S/H plants. After a few wee sips of whisky I can't tell which end of the pot has the big hole. Can anybody suggest a type of spirits that won't cause this?

And as confession (only slightly related) I’ve started putting the tags in line with the holes in my SH plants so I don’t have to look for the holes LOL

Yes, very useful. I like to pick up and flood my S/H pots individually. Knowing where the holes are keeps the water off me. I also set the back end of the plant against the rim above the two holes.

PRO TIP: Put the tags on the opposite side of the pot from the holes, so that when you pick it up, it “pees” away from you!
