Yeah, but now your retired and there’s that beer in your hand and those beautiful birds to distract you. We just want you to be careful cos we care

I treat perlite like it is radioactive powder lol

More likely whiskey with one of those big ice cubes... but just a guess.

I like beer, but in summer you can occasionally find me (dinner time and later) with a chardonnay or Italian white wine nearby. Later in the evening, possibly a good quality bourbon, neat (why ruin it through dilution?).

And I completely agree with him, one does not add water to bourbon (or in my case, single malt whisky, even cask strength!) There's nothing I enjoy more than a generous dram of whisky with a few squares of chili chocolate to go with it. The combination is divine! I picked up this combo from some Scottish friends.

Only fertilizer gets diluted.

I agree with Camille on the single malt, too. Then there are liqueurs... As long as they are not sweet, I really go for them, especially armagnac.

i like where this is headed - i LOVE a single malt, Islay all the way! i will do some highlands too but i am a smoke guy...laphroaig, talkisker, oban

i like one cube...it opens up the whiskey without diluting

i think that there is a universe of liquers and aromatics too but i cant dive into that rabbit hole.

I enjoy the smokey types, like Talisker and Oban, and I recently discovered a very nice Campbeltown whisky (Springbank 10 year) both smokey and light. I also enjoy the light types on evenings where I don't want something too heavy, and at the moment I have Dalwhinnie, Royal Lochnagar and Cardhu.

The distilleries are very nice to visit, and even though the base process is the same it's interesting to see the small differences in their way of working, and of course, sample their products.

Ray, I'm sorry that we've veered so far off topic! Funny how we somehow went from rock wool to spirits.
