Makes sense...seems like bogs are pretty much a sh environment if not totally hydro.

I just wish I had success with carnivorous plants. They don’t like me. Perhaps I’ll try again with SH. At least I know what I’m doing with using it. Goals.

It's similar to how I propagate Pogonia. I drill drainage holes about an inch below the rim and pack the container to that point with wet lfs. I lay a division on top and cover it with a layer of live Sphagnum.

Wet long fibered Sphagnum moss. Pogonias are a genus of mostly bog dwelling orchids. I grow several clones of our native rose Pogonia, P. ophioglossoides and a clone of a Japanese species P. japonica.
