There was no way to just shake off the old medium on mine, mine was a brick. That's why it took the better part of an hour to remove it all.

I don't mind going overboard considering obvious signs...

TIL I really should be wearing gloves when I use physan 20. Normally I just hold plants when I am spraying them which invariably leads to my hands getting physan on them, which I wash off afterwards...
