Thanks Roberta, good to know it can be several months. Phal flower spike I felt are much faster in growing. But hopefully its just a matter of time. I'm so excited to see this one bloom 😍

Yes I did have it out during the summer july - sep. That probably could also have contributed to the 2 new pseudobulbs that I see growing. Now I have it indoor under very bright grow lights as well.

Sorry es, somehow missed seeing the latter part of your post about cool growing orchids. I did try a miltoniopsis but unfortunately killed it. And I've also heard that they require lot of humidity...

Yeah light is definitely a challenge in seattle. But all my phals initiate spikes without issues. Maybe the need for light is more for oncidiums. If I use stronger grow lights the leaves get burnt....
