Of all places, this cattleya off a discount rack in Lowe's in Tampa. Didn't have a bloom at the time so I had no idea what the colors would be. It bloomed this week and boy am I glad I kept it....

Sharp eyes you have! Yep that was the old stalk where I cut. To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to bloom again so soon. We did have a very wet summer in Florida, and I suppose that must have helped....

Went to my first orchid show (in Tampa) and got this lovely cattleya. The flower is pretty big (just a tad larger than 6") and is quite fragrant. Enjoy!
