It was called an "just add ice" orchid. Directions actually said add 2-3 ice cubes to the base of each orchid once a week. I dont see how that would work...they have a website. Justaddiceorchids.com...

Thanks for the advice guys! Hubby said it was $27 so not bad at all for such a big orchid! I only did the ice the first day i had it and stopped after reading this board ;)

Just looked and the metal pot that its in does not have drain holes so i will have to buy a new pot. Its also planted in bark not moss.
