i read somewhere that you need to put ice on them...

i read somewhere that you need to put ice on them every night for 1, 2 weeks in tropics to chill the soil .. I got the same problem with mine so i am going to try the cold treatment this fall .

Can i use Pine bark for orchids . Where i live in summers in Spain ,there is a big pine forest and many cut or dead pine trees.. i was wondering if i can use it ?? I checked my books but no info...

Thanks James , I use RO water so it should be ok . I will use some rooting hormon too. the root came out from the dark side of the plant.. shall i cover the bottom part with foil ?
