This was created by an avocado grower, and it is primarily about "activating" the microbes before use (which is actually nothing more than using the as-produced product as an inoculant to produce more by adding it to water and molasses {he would more closely replicate the original process if he added KelpMax, too}), but its pretty remarkable what a difference it has made to his crops.

Same method is used to produce compost tea. Molasse is also added for feeding and multiply the micro organisms present in compost.

I am a regular Inocucor user but I don’t need large volumes, so wouldn’t use the method. Sort of like buying really good yogurt and then using it as starter to make your own. Theoretically, Inocucor comes with what the company thinks is the correct balance of the organisms (and chemicals that they make). When you grow the solution in molasses and some aerated water you don’t know that every organisms grows at the same rate. You could have a solution that is no longer balanced optimally. Obviously, it seems to work for the avocados!

The lessons here are that when using your products, RO/Distilled water works the best otherwise you need to de-chlorinate the water.

Did I understand correctly that you think Kelp Max wold make a difference over Molasses?

If you are planning to propagate the consortia, chlorine would be a detriment, but if you're just mixing it up and applying it, it will have little to no impact. Chlorine has no impact on KelpMax whatsoever.

Yes, I recommend pure water for orchids, but that has nothing to do with whatever you add to it.

No, you didn't. What I said was that if the gentlemen in the video added KelpMax in addition to the molasses, he'd be replicating the manufacturing process more closely.

So this is probably going to sound stupid as I'm not so good at these things. Simple minded. But could you instead of waiting just mix this up and put it on ones garden say? I have also been using inocucor on my orchids but this year I am going to try and use it more on my garden. I did water my started plants a little bit as I was a bit low and kept it more for my orchids. Could you mix it up and put it in a hose end sprayer?

Shannon, Yes. The guy in the video was trying to extend the product to make his dollars go farther. When you have an entire orchard chemical cost makes a significant impact on your business.

Thanks, I told you I had a simple mind. Never was good at science or math
