Music for your orchids?
Does anyone play music for their plants?
I've done a lot of reading on frequencies and I do notice my plants seem to respond well. Here's some light reading.

I've been playing classical and frequencies at 432 hz. I've read it's great for growth and dna repair!

I don't know about the plants, but listening to baroque when I'm watering makes me feel better .

It's kind of embarrassing to even admit this, but I like to play sounds of nature, like the sounds of rainstorms and showers in the tropics, babbling brooks, chirping birds, etc. I also talk to them while I water them. Alot. Entire conversations.
I don't know if it does anything for the plants, but I greatly benefit from a huge reduction in stress. I water my plants as soon as I get home from my very stressful job, and by the time I am done, all thoughts of work are gone till the next day. My wife frequently comments on how much calmer I have been since I started this lovely hobby. The flowers are really just a wonderful bonus.

I like forest sounds also when I'm with my orchids, it helps me escape from my worries.
I also pump some house, trance, or drum and bass for them when I feel like dancing

Oh, I agree! I play nature sounds and talk to mine as well. After watching an old documentary, Secret Life of Plants, many years ago, I developed a new appreciation for plant life and that's when my gardening obsession kicked in. Don't be embarrassed! I think the world would benefit by having more appreciation of nature around us. I just hope I give my plants a little of the joy they give me. In the meantime, people just call me the crazy plant lady.

I sing constantly around my orchids. I sing musical theater tunes and some opera. Nothing has died yet so apparently they like it? however, I do play the radio as well.

I've taken to playing Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee" to try to get my Ophrys in the mood.
