World's Smallest Orchid found
late 2009 a new orchid was found in Ecuador, and it turned out to be the smallest orchid ever found!!

I particularly enjoy that the article compares that region with Darwin's Finches- which are equally fascinating. Too bad they don't go into more detail of how/why they think they evolved the way they did!
