Another example of the magnificent intricacy and complexity of nature. For me, this beautiful example of co-evolution is a symbol of the amazing natural world we live in, as well as a reminded that when things like climate change occurs, these will be the first to go. I don't think food webs will collapse and people will start starving, but our world will lose lots of these fascinating things that makes things interesting and wonderful. A world filled with squirrels, ducks, pigeons and dandelions is just not as fun. Thanks for posting.

Very neat. Anyone know what the moth is called? I experienced a similar thing while watering some petunias, this big insect or something was buzzin around from flower to flower, it was very strange looking, had never seen anything like it. Wings flapped very fast and it was large to me it appeared to be part insect/part bird. Guess what looked it up on the computer afterwards and it was a humming bird hawk moth. This video reminded me of this experience, but my "bugs" nose was not quite as long as this moths. Thanks for sharing the video.

It is called Xanthopan morganii praedicta

Same family as the hawk moths we have here. These are super cool - love seeing them in the summer!
