Is it a keiki?

I bought an orchid from a local nursery, labelled as a Phal. Cassandra 'Alba'. It has lovely mottled leaves, scented flowers, and the inflorescence seems rather atypical for a phal. Today I looked at it and it has sprouted some adorable little leaves, but unlike any keiki I've had on one of my plants. It is at the top of the inflorescence. Photos are attached.

Does anyone know what's happening?

Yes, it is a keiki, and if you leave it alone you will eventually get roots. Let them develop until they are 2 or 3 inches long, and you will have a viable new plant. Good luck!

It's a very unusual spot for a keiki to grow. It could just be an adventitious growth which are sometimes reluctant to give roots. Time will tell.

If the spike is one that dries after blooming, probably you'll lose the keiki.
You could put the whole plant in a humid and warm place to stimulate root growth. Or some keiki paste at the base of the keiki.
