orchids amaze me to no end....last year I cleaned up and repotted an old unruly plant, and trimmed a couple very old psuedobulbs off.....frugal me, I dropped the leafless old shriveled things in a net pot with some large bark...I figured they would die.
BUT NO! that pot has been sitting, jammed in an out of the way corner since then....every now and again I would look at it, and no change was visible....I was sort of wondering how long it would take for them to die.....
today, I was cleaning around, and I spotted those shriveled things and I took a look.....HA!! there is life!!
I potted them up in a tiny net pot and sat them where they will be watered regular, lol
ITS ALIVE!!
