Default Germination - How to tell?

I'm pretty sure I've got some germination happening, but the seeds/protocorms are soooooo small! I think they have tuned white and become a little swollen, but again - I can't really tell.

The seeds are Encyclia tampensis and they were sown 7 weeks ago today.

Oooh, Oooh, Oooh! E. tampensis! Way to go. What was the seed source? Wild collected plants or a hybrid? If you want seeds from a wild collected plant let me know.

I got the seed from OSP. They were from a rescued wild plant. Broward county maybe?

If I really mess up, or if I'm wrong and they're not viable, I may ask you for some. I'd be interested in ANY US native.

Mine's a rescued plant as well and I regularly clip off the seed capsules that develope when the plant's outside. I'll be sure to save at least one for you just in case. Mine's from Pinellas County, Fla.

So you clip the ends off of mature capsules in situ? You're kind of a Johnny Orchidseed!
