Paph. Hysing Anita x Sanderianum flask to blooming time?
...interested in this flask, but not sure if it'll be Sanderianum timeline or something 'quicker'. Like say, 5 or so years?
I've tried all sorts of searches online to find the info, but am not getting any luck. Even just for Paph. Hysing Anita. Sometimes the internet makes me feel dumb. I figure the information is out there, but I'm just asking in the wrong way somehow.
Plan on 8 years. Anything sooner would be a bonus. Time from flask is really dependent on your culture as well. A multi seedling will most probably mature much faster in a Florida greenhouse than in my basement. You may have a few bloom earlier than the group. But this question is a tough one to answer. You'll never know until you try. Have you tried other flasks? How long did it take them to mature?
Recent multifloral trends are not really breeding for faster bloom time, unless stated so. Some Roth lines are, I saw Sam Tsui was breeding with a Roth with a clonal name of 'Speed of Light,' but speed of light in multi terms are not really lightning fast. And add anitum to the mix... yikes.
