I bought hygrometer who log the data which i can access , waiting for it to get delivered, I will past the graph here so we will know how high humidity goes for how much time.

How are your baby cattleyas doing?Have they survived? can you do a video updating your deflasked orchids.

I guess its start of 6th week and they have started doing amazing after I added 6 band grow light, I will keep posted images taken when I take them out of dome for watering.

growing good.

-- some babies are developing reddish color leaves other are faint green

-- some growing pseudobulbs some don't

Assuming they all get the same light, the redder leaves indicate darker flowers and lighter leaves indicate lighter colored flowers. This is a handy tidbit to know when picking unbloomed seedlings at a nursery.

Congrats. It may be worthwhile compotting all the similar-sized seedlings together at this stage.

Like this:

Called an azalea pot - diameter greater than depth. These are about 2 1/2 in deep.

Next step - individual pots. These were deflasked 5/16/16 and I already have spiking occurring.


These are a phal cross. I have a catt cross ready for deflasking, I know it's going to be years before I see a first bloom.

For some reason an intermediate step is preferred - I've seen that with zygos, phal s, habenaria and catt cernua.
But whatever you decide, please keep posting.
