Phal Keiki ready to transplant? Male
Default Phal Keiki ready to transplant?

Hi all, I have a Keiki on one of my Phals that's been growing for a couple of months. It has a couple of roots now also. Is it ready to be transplanted yet? If so, what is the procedure?

With several inches of root, and roots actively growing, that pup is ready for independence. Cut the spike close to the base of the keiki, pot it normally, give it mild conditions for a few weeks (not too hot, a little more shade, good humidity, don't overwater).

Yes, it's ready. With luck (although luck has nothing to do with it) you'll get flowers in one year.
