The damage to the new growth was already showing signs of going downhill so I took the highroad and removed it.
I usually can get damaged orchids to pull through fine, though they are normally epiphytes. My experience with tuberous orchid species hasn't involved such damage to new growth before
Thanks! I'll need all the luck I can get, luckily a few were just starting to come out of dormancy and were undamaged from the "gentle" trip they took.
As for the post office, this is the first time I've had things come beaten up like this. I've seen boxes damaged but normally the contents were fine :/

Also if anyone has any recommended media for terrestrial seedlings let me know! I'm thinking of using LF sphagnum moss until they start showing signs of recovering. (right now they are still in that container with the lid near one of the heat lamps i have on the tropicals)
