Default Propagation By Canes II

Through an unfortunate accident, a 3 year old leafless cane broke off of my Dendrobium parishii. Is this a species amenable to propagation by canes?
I have the cane resting on a bed of live sphagnum under moderate light. Any chance?

If there are any still-dormant bud sites then there's a chance one or more will put out new growth in the spring. Keep the cane itself relatively dry, just being on happy live sphagnum ought to keep it humid enough. Good luck, parishii is an awesome species!
