So I have a Phal mariae and javanica that are going to open any day now and I was thinking of doing a cross. What I'm wondering is should I do the cross right away, wait a few days, weeks?

I would wait until the blooms are at least a week old, mariae x javanica = Little Fox, a very nice cross.

With long lasting flowers, there is no urgency. I tend to do it sooner rather than later though, if I have the choice.
