I tried to post a link to the photo but I'm having newbie issues and keep getting a "post denied" message. You can look at it in my album if you like. I believe it's been about 3 weeks since it was pollinated. What I did was swap the pollen on both plants so there isn't a question of self pollination. The phal bloom fell off with no pod formation. The wilsonara produced a pod. Now the waiting game to see how long it lasts! I'll play some music for it.

I think the reason you can't post pics yet is because you need to make more posts, I believe it's 5 that you need.

That said, this is an interesting experiment. My understanding is as other people have said though that these two plants may well be too distant from each other genetically to produce viable seed/offspring. It'll be some months before you'll know. Here's a list of some capsule/pod maturation times:

Thank you for the link! Should I use oncidium as a guideline? Or phal?

You got me on that one! I think pay attention to the pod if it actually makes it that far. Look for signs of it yellowing on both ends or any splitting.

I haven't thought about making orchid babies yet.
Seed pods should only be kept on strong healthy plants, right? I read that plants that aren't healthy could die from producing seeds in one of my books.

I would think if it could have been done, it would have been done already. Just a guess.

Oncidiums and phals have different numbers of chromosomes. There is absolutely no way that you made a cross. It's a selfie.

I promise it's not a selfie And I say that because I removed its pollinia and inserted the pollia from the phal. Now, I wonder if during the bumping around a selfie could have happened?

Then it's probably either empty or parthenogenesis.

I have 2 'impossible' crosses at the lab.
The first is between a cymbidium and a member of the zygo tribe. After almost 2 years in flask there is only erratic growth. As an experiment I re-performed the cross and this is now at the lab on a different growing media. Why ? well to prove that its not the media that caused the growth, not germination, issue.
The 2nd cross is growing well and if I can get it to bloom in about 3-4 years, will create a brand new genus.
In both of the above, the cross involved plants that 'look' the same - both have pseudobulbs for example. In yours they don't even look the same ( one has pseudobulbs, the other doesn't ). I know that's a very simplistic take but it worked for me.
I still hope that yours turns out ! it is fun....
