Default Dendrobium and a no I.d. Phalaenopsis

Hello everyone!
I recently tried to propagate a dendrobium micro-chip and a mini no I.D. Phalaenopsis.
I have never tried this before and I just decided to try it for the hell of it since I happened to have them both in bloom.
Are these too species compatible? I know they have dendrobium phalaenopsis hybrids.

Any info would help

Not do-able, sorry ... Den-phals are not Den - Phal hybrids, but Dendrobiums belonging to the Phalaenanthe section of the genus Dendrobium. (it's confusing, I know!)

I agree. Cannot be crossed. You would have more fun self-pollinating the microchip and seeing what happens there.

I'm a newbie... is there a table somewhere online that shows which genera are compatible? Thanks.
