Zygonisia cross Female
Smile Zygonisia Roquebrune 'Select' cross

So at the encouragement of another I'm going to share a couple crosses I've made and their progress thus far. This particular one makes my 2nd successful pod thus far. The other one I will create another thread for has just recently decided it doesn't want to be after all.

The first is my Zygonisia. I pollinated a couple flowers September 20, 2014 would have been two different crosses. However one of them failed. I've attached a picture of the one that has so far succeeded. It's roughly 3 1/2 months old. Compared to my Zygolum pod it's kind of small.

its looking good. Rule of thumb is over 3 months and chances increase as to seed viability and a 'compatible ' cross.
I have had various zygonisia pods go for 7-9 months before natural dehiscence - so that's the ballpark. I have never had to try green-podding any, I don't even know if that's an option with this genus.
If you can, please put the name of the pod parent in the title eg - is this a Zygonisia Cynosure, Roquebrune...etc cross.

Thank you. I have made a mental note after seeing your threads about this time frame. So by the time this guy even thinks about maturing it'll be a whole new world outside!

When you have plants with pods do you ever have any problems in terms of keeping them outside?

And thanks btw for the tip, I changed the title.
