Just curious...do you find more success in sowing the seed in upright jars? Most sown jars that I have seen have been sideways.

Ah actually a good question it's a secret advice that usually not spread. This go like this if you put the jars in a high light like here it will get hot the warm air going up so a hole at the top solve cooking problem. For a low light the hole should be at the side so hot air won't go out and keep it warm. But shhhh... Dont tell

Interesting. I have heard of some even placing orchid jars that are almost ready to harvest in the greenhouse perhaps to free up lab space. I assume that in that case those individuals place them under fairly shaded conditions to help with the "cooking".
