I would like to share with you my project (published on a swiss crowdfunding site, in french, sorry). Hope it is ok, otherwise please delete it...

I'm fascinating by terrestrial orchids from all over the world. The problem is that iti is really difficult to find them to buy in Europa, because :

- only few people know terrestrial orchids, so not really propagated for sell
- CITES permits (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) are really restrictive, so many countries do not export anymore...

That's why I decided to start to propagate them from seeds, because seeds are not concerned by CITES and can be found more easier...

To propagate them in good conditions, special material is needed (laminar flow hood and other), but expensive... My project is to buy the right material and start to propagate terrestrial orchids.

Another part of my project will be to work on conservation and protection of indigenous orchids, in collaboration with a botanical garden in Switzerland.

So if terrestrial orchids (culture, protection and multiplication) are part of your interests, this project is for you

Please have a look there :
