I am trying to figure out which I should try for some seedlings, on Phytotechs website P723 is an improvement on P668, with less salt, but how that translates to germination efficiency... Is the question.

I use the media from OSP and it's modified P668, called P669. I have had two types of seeds germinate on it so far, Phals and Vandas (10 flasks total with germination, out of probably ~30).
Modified P668 mother flask medium (P669)
Our improvement on P668: by adding some B852 banana powder, this formulation prevents the dreaded “brown-out” of protocorms- developing plantlets that turn brown for no good reason. Contains banana, so it’s probably not good for paph germination, but the concentration is low enough that it won’t faze most “robst” paphs. This is what we use for germination at the OSP, along with Western W2.5 or W3 + coconut. US$6.50 per 1 liter pouch. Contains gelling agent.
