All those came out of one flask??? OMG!
No wonder your arms hurt after all the sorting job.
hopefully the smaller ones will catch up.

reliablefool - I'm definitely hoping that at least half of them make it!! If they do, you're welcome to have one to add to your collection!
NYCorchidman - I was very pleasantly surprised at the number of seedlings!! I also hope the babies catch up (though they are terribly cute being so tiny!)

Thanks for the pic heavy post, it's hard to imagine all those babies without seeing it for yourself! Which vendor(s) did you use for your purchase? Was it a deal for so many purchased together, or did you just just choose them yourself?

braxtonds - I got these on a special from * Welcome to Carmela Orchids
They offered 5 community pots for $58, which included shipping. They got to choose what they sent, but they would all be different.
I called and spoke to the owner, who was very sweet...and he let me substitute one community pot for a flask (because I mentioned wanting to try out flask seedlings).
I'm extremely happy with the cost, the choices and especially the service!

Keep it just moist. Not dripping, not crispy. Moist. Like a sponge that has been soaked and then wrung out.
Will be posting some new photos of mine in a few.

Very good points, MattWoelfsen! If they all survive I will surely need to find some of them homes
TOMMYMIAMI- they are definitely more fragile than adults...I hope I have the patience for them!
Thanks so much to all of your comments

Sorry it took me so long to reply with this pic! Also I was wrong about the spike. I'm new to Catts & when this growth was even smaller it reminded me of the 'club' look of spikes on Phals but now as it's gotten a little bigger I'm pretty sure it's just a new growth, still good but yeah... and going back through my messages I see that my seedling here has about two years till blooming. Nonetheless, here's what it looks like right now!

lotis146 - Your Angel Kiss looks so good!! I can't wait for you to get a bloom!
CambriaWhat - Thank you soooo much for the hint on the sphag...keeping it like a wrung sponge...I've been lost on how to handle that stuff!! I'm off to check out your updated pictures!

That is a great deal and a whole lot of value for the money! I love Carmela's and have used they several times. They are always very helpful with substitutions and customer service.
