we are flying and then driving to Mexico. No plant/s allowed. I KNOW that this is going to bloom by the 21st when we leave

Thumbs up

install a Drop cam on it and tether it to your cell..you will never be out of touch with your plants again and you can watch them when you are away. You know they get up and dance around when you leave the room right?

https://www.dropcam.com/?gclid=CNHj6...FQaEaQodfAQAew

we had a speaker at the OS one night who had his whole greenhouse automation system on an app on cell phone. Using his cell phone he could start the fans, mist, heat, and cooling. He got alarms when things weren't right and made some adjustments. He said the only other thing he wished the app could do was re pot the plants too.

RJ - interesting idea. However if I even contemplated going that route I think I would be booked into an all-expenses paid place I really wouldn't want to be.

Ha ha! My boyfriend is in love with home automation and I can't blame him, the things that you can do are quite incredible. I do believe his brother has his fish breeding automated. Such a system would be AWESOME for Orchids given the proper space and what-not.

My prayers have been sent for your little guy!! Just talk to it and say really nice things... If you believe...

RJSquirrel, are dancing Orchids responsible for missing socks and pens? Really am looking for answers. And what about hair-ties?

Getting there, but for Xmas. Maybe I can get someone to send me a photo from home...hmmm...

Based on the colour now I have no clue as to the final colour so it will be a surprise.

Default Finally !

I'm not overly fond of patterned phals but the masking on this one sort of makes up for it. I like it ! And there are a lot more blooms to look forward to in other seedlings - hopefully there is a wide variation as there are 16 species in the genetic composition of this one.

Well, if you aren't too fond of this one you can always send it my way. Hehe. I think it is a gorgeous first bloom seedling from this cross, but I am partial to spots and stripes. It also has relatively good form...hopefully it only improves with age/future blooms.

Oh bah...I read "not overly fond of patterned phals" and completely threw out what came after that. Hehe. Glad you like it.
