i can also get Anacamptis pyramidalis and Serapias parviflora although this last one is not very pretty but still an orchid

Serapias parviflora is of particular interest, I definitely would like to check into them more in the future. If you would be so kind to send some of those Ophrys seeds I'm going to pm my address right now. The Maxillaria t. babies should be rooted and fully ready for shipment mid-late spring (night temps cannot drop below 50-55 Fahrenheit). You are a very kind soul :-D and made my day!

If you can Asymbiotic seed sow try Knudson C(Arditti 1982) vitro formula, this has worked well for us on Ophrys in the past.

Funny that you mention a PhytoLabs product, just was on the phone with a native orchid propagator who recommended me to get on their site and order some of their medium as well ;-). I'm ordering tonight or tomorrow morning at latest.

Ophrys are ammonst the easiest terretrial orchids to sow.

Seed dormancy is easy overcome be bleachin slight longer than tropical orchids.

You wil gett most succes if u use a medium without inorganic nitrogen. Replace the nitrogen with casein.

I have sown Ophrys speculum last december.
The little plants are growing fast.

I had to go back and blow the dust off my notes; but I have used Wetsteyn and a variation of Anders modified Malmgrens vitro formula, and both work well.

If you would like to trade seeds we have some good Chinese variety on hand in our seed bank.
