catasetum baby leaves wilting
These are my seedling catasetum I unflasked last week.
They leaves are starting to wilt some not sure why
1. Infra red heat bulb in tortoise terrarium keeps them warm. Bright light from 4 feet away from his basking bulb plus window next to it.
2. Good humidity you see the sweat coming up the sides of the container.
3. Phulbs are fat and happy. As well as roots any ideas?

Errr, I've never seen leaves like that unless I've burnt them on the stove! How close is that heat lamp? And as long as the temps are above 60 degrees, they'll be fine. How cold does your house get?

The heat lamp is not that hot. And id say cooler temps at night say 55-60, and day temps 70's up I may pull them back a bit. If you yhink they are getting fried.

I can hold my hand against the glass and it is just barely warm. The main heat is hitting farther in where my tortoise has started a partial hibernation state.

Cute little buggers. The roots do look really great. Hard to tell about the cause of the leaf damage.

So many questions...if the side leaves do die off will the phulb be okay and shoot new leaves once they adjust?

yes, the roots and bulbs look pretty good. I am not sure, but it may happen if the roots and bulb stay healthy, they will push probably new leaves, these may really got fried and in that case if there is no infection of some kind, I would think that this may happen.
